You know your rank.
Now see the seats it can hold.
Enter your rank and get the colleges that actually closed after it last season — government, deemed and private, with whole-course fees and the order to fill your choice list in. No agents. No packages. No promises about seats nobody can promise.
The exam is one day. This part takes six weeks.
Every number here is public. We are showing them because the arithmetic — not the exam — is what most families are unprepared for. Two thousand ranks of drift between rounds is normal, and it moves in both directions.
Four mistakes, priced
Not reporting to an allotted seat, or resigning after Round 2, forfeits the security deposit. On a deemed allotment that is two lakh rupees for a decision you made in an afternoon.
Locking a government seat in a state you intend to leave buys a service bond whose exit penalty can exceed the entire cost of the course. We show the penalty next to the fee, not in a footnote.
Students routinely decline a government seat in Round 1 hoping for a better one, then land in a private college in mop-up. The ordering exists precisely to stop that.
Locking closes earlier than most students expect and the portal is slowest on the final evening. There is no appeal, no extension, and no partial credit.
None of these are rare, and none of them are about being underprepared for the exam. They are all decisions made without the numbers in front of you. That is the entire thing you are buying for ₹499.
A list of colleges is not a plan. The order is the plan.
Counselling reads your choices top-down and stops at the first one you clear. Same rank, two orders, two different seats. This is built from the rank and category you set above — move them and watch it change.
estimated OBC rank 30,667
Three aspirational at the top, two genuine targets, two that catch you if the season runs tight.
Reaches first — they cost nothing to keep, because counselling simply skips what you miss. Then genuine targets, the ones your rank actually argues for. Then two colleges that closed well after your rank, so a bad season still ends in a seat.
A list of only the colleges you want. Every choice closes ahead of your rank, nothing catches you, and the season ends with no allotment at all — from a rank that could have held a government seat.
We replay last season's real closings against this exact order and tell you where it would have stopped — “you'd have got #4” — plus what to fix. That, the per-round re-runs and the alerts are what the ₹499 pass covers.
Every honest way to do this, compared
Including the free route, which is genuinely viable if you have the weekends. We are not the right answer for everyone and the table says so.
| Seatpath | Counselling agent | Free PDFs + YouTube | Other predictors | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | ₹499 once | ₹35,000 – ₹90,000 | ₹0 | ₹0 – ₹2,000 |
| Shows its source for every number | Every figure, dated | No | You are the source | Rarely |
| Labels estimates as estimates | Always, with a band | No — sells certainty | n/a | Usually a single number |
| Orders your choice list | Yes, with fragile seats flagged | Yes, unexplained | No | No — list only |
| Mock allotment before you lock | Yes, re-run each round | Sometimes, verbally | No | No |
| Whole-course cost and bond shown | On every seat | Tuition only, often | Scattered across PDFs | Tuition only |
| Paid by colleges | Never | Often, on commission | n/a | Usually — that is the model |
| Sells your phone number | Never | Sometimes | n/a | Commonly |
| Holds your counselling login | Never asks | Usually asks | No | No |
| Refund if you get no seat | Full, automatic | No | n/a | No |
| Time it costs you | About an hour | Meetings on their schedule | 20–40 hours of reading | Minutes, then you are alone |
The free route is genuinely viable — column three is not a straw man. It costs time instead of money, and the table says exactly how much.
Most of Seatpath is free. Here is exactly what ₹499 buys.
One payment for the whole 2026 season — every round, every state you're eligible for. If you only ever want to know your rank and browse colleges, stay on free. We'd rather you did that than pay for something you don't need.
Three outputs do most of the work
Government MBBS at ₹3.1 L whole course, with the 2-year Bihar bond.
The seat your current list would actually produce, plus the two options that just missed and why — so you know what to change before locking.
Ambitious options above, a protected seat below, seats thin enough to vanish flagged — and every bond and over-budget option marked before you lock.
Estimates replaced with the published closing rank. Two options moved up your list.
Decide free exit or float on your R1 allotment
Add two safe BDS options — your net is thin
Real cutoffs replace estimates as each round closes, and you are told what to do next — free exit, float or upgrade — before the deadline, not after.
Four fair objections, answered without spin
Because you are not paying for a person's afternoon — you are paying for files that were already parsed. An agent's cost is their time and, sometimes, a commission from a private college. Ours is servers and a small team reading notifications. Nothing about the price says anything about the data.
You could, and some students should. But last season the authorities published hundreds of round-wise files in inconsistent formats on dates that moved twice. We do that reading in advance. The free tier gives you the raw answers either way — pay only when the ordering is worth more than a weekend.
Trust the band, and check our working. Every estimate is labelled as one, shows its range, and links the file it came from. Once real results land we replace estimates with facts. If a source has not been published yet, we say the number does not exist rather than inventing it.
Then we refund you in full, automatically, after the final round. We can see whether you got an allotment in the rounds you were eligible for, so there is no claim to file and no evidence to send.
Four things Seatpath will never do
Nobody can. Anyone who does is guessing with your money.
You fill the official portal yourself. We never hold credentials.
No lead selling to colleges, coaching or agents. No ads.
Every number names the file it came from and the date we read it.
Every figure on Seatpath traces back to a document you can open yourself.
We don't have a secret dataset and we don't claim insider knowledge. We have the official files, parsed carefully, kept current, and cited on every screen. When a source hasn't been published yet, we say so instead of filling the gap with a guess.
Read our data policySee your colleges free. Pay only if the plan is worth ₹499 to you.
Takes about ninety seconds and needs nothing but your rank card.
